The Zambian Carnivore Programme (ZCP) is currently looking for a full time field ecologist to join its team in Zambia. ZCP is an applied research, conservation, and education organization based in the Luangwa Valley, Kafue National Park, and Liuwa Plain. Funding comes primarily from WWF-Netherlands and the National Science Foundation, with the main focus of ZCP research on individual-based studies to determine the status of and threats to carnivore populations in Zambia (specifically, wild dog, spotted hyena, cheetah, leopard, and lion).

Field ecologist must have experience in the Southern African bush and with radio tracking; have some mechanical knowledge, preferably with Land Rovers; be willing to work long, hard hours in any of the three ZCP field sites; experience with data collection and entry.

Position is guaranteed for 2014 with possibility of extension.
