*MANAGER: HUNTING AND CONSERVATION*

The incumbent will be responsible for the achievement of the strategic 
objectives and the management of hunting and conservation affairs of the 
biggest hunting association in South Africa.

The key performance areas include:

·maintaining and implementing hunting and conservation policies;

·providing leadership to branch offices i.t.o. conservation activities;

·implementing and managing the hunting skills transfer programme;

·formulating policies on all matters relating to hunting and/or 
conservation with the emphasis on the symbiosis between hunting and 
conservation;

·Interacting with national, provincial and other NGOs involved with 
hunting and conservation matters;

·managing the budget for hunting and conservation activities;

·executing any other tasks and instructions from the CEO.

The successful candidate must comply with the following requirements:

·appropriate post graduate/tertiary training;

·appropriate management training and experience;

·leadership skills;

·proven communication skills in English and Afrikaans, both verbal and 
written;

·knowledge and experience of the hunting and conservation environment;

·knowledge and experience in the training environment;

·knowledgeable and skilled administrator.

In addition to the above requirements, a proven record of accomplishment 
in the hunting, conservation and/or sport-shooting environment would be 
an added advantage.

**

*REMUNERATION*

A remuneration package including benefits such as a pension fund and 
vehicle allowance can be structured to suit the requirements of the 
successful candidate.

The successful candidate must be prepared to reside in the Pretoria 
region and to work after hours.

All candidates must be prepared to undergo an appraisal procedure as 
part of the selection process.
