Lecturer

Minimum criteria include: a Ph.D. or in the process of submitting/completing a Ph.D. in an
appropriate discipline with a track record of appropriate research outputs. Applicants with
additional post-doctoral work experience, postgraduate student supervision and the generation
of research grants will be advantaged.
The appointee will be expected to: teach at both the undergraduate and Honours level •
conduct research in plant ecology, preferably in the area of riparian or wetland vegetation
• supervise postgraduate students in the aforementioned fields • assume departmental
administrative responsibilities commensurate with the position • successfully teach large classes of
students from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds.
