Subject: FW: Call for nominations - 2015 Young Researchers Award

Dear FBIP Steering Committee

The Global Biodiversity Information Facility is currently advertising an award in biodiversity informatics. Please find attached documentation relating to the GBIF call for the young researchers award for 2015.

The Young Researchers Award fosters innovative research and discovery in biodiversity informatics by graduate students in masters and doctorate programmes at universities in countries participating in the GBIF network.
If there is anyone you know that meets the criteria for these two calls - please feel free to send me your recommendations. I will submit the recommendation, together with the nomination packet to Dr. Tanya Abrahamse, our HoD to GBIF.
She can submit a maximum of two nominations to GBIF.
Submissions are due by 23rd February 2015 to F.Parker at sanbi.org.za<mailto:F.Parker at sanbi.org.za> . This will then be reviewed for final submission to GBIF, by the South African Head of Delegation, Dr. Tanya Abrahamse.
