Request for information- Salmonella enteritidis PFGE patterns JEGX01.0001 and JEGX01.0317

Dear all:

PulseNet USA has been investigating cases of Salmonella enteritidis illness associated with the consumption of bean sprouts.  The first isolate was received on October 26, 2014. To date we have 93 reported cases which is above our baseline of around 6-7 cases per month. There are two different patterns (JEGX01.0001 and JEGX01.0317) associated with the outbreak and they only differ by one band after XbaI digestion. This investigation is still ongoing and we are very interested to know if anyone has detected these patterns recently. I have included here two TIFF files with PFGE patterns, a bundle file with additional details and the sequencing ID. We appreciate if you could investigate possible matches in your databases.
