Thank you Peter, i have read the website and i have digested the contents. Listeria strains are less common in Uganda but being a unique bug, some surveillance calls for it.

All,
As you all know we have been working with our federal and state partners on real-time surveillance of listeriosis using whole genome sequencing for a while now.
We have nominated and reached the finals of a US governmental award program called HHS Innovates. We are mostly in there for the recognition; no major associated funding award. Our program is one of six in the finals and it is up for public voting. We need your vote to go all the way.
Please have a look at http://www.hhs.gov/idealab/innovate/whole-genome-sequencing-future-of-food-safety/ . There is a voting button and also a link to the other projects.
Please spread the word if you like. The site is open until June 6th.
Thanks and have a nice week end.
