Dear PulseNet Laboratorians,

We would like to invite you to attend a webinar the CSTE Food Safety
Subcommittee is hosting on a recently released publication highlighting
the economic evaluation of PulseNet in the United States. 

Since 1996 PulseNet, the National Molecular Subtyping Network for
Foodborne Disease Surveillance, has demonstrated to be a successful
model for the surveillance of foodborne pathogens in the United States.
This webinar will highlight an economic evaluation study examining the
economic and health benefits associated with PulseNet. The contribution
of PulseNet to our nation's public health surveillance system have been
significant through the detection and characterization of foodborne
outbreaks. The webinar will feature presentations from Dr. Robert
Scharff at Ohio State University and Dr. Craig Hedberg at the University
of Minnesota.
