Subject: [Coms1] Robocode Results

Hi Everyone.

Congratulations to Jonah Hopper who won this year’s Robocode competition with 10 battle wins with his bot “IVANS_T34_JGH”. Jonah went home with an external hard-drive, a keyboard, a mouse, … and some yellow paper. ;)

Congratulations also to Ari Croock who came in second with 9 wins, and Paul Osei Sekyere and Alistair Unterslak who drew for third place with 7 wins each.

Jonah, Ari, Paul, and Alistair have now been invited to join the Wits Robocup Soccer Team, where they will be working under Pravesh Ranchod and Richard Klein to develop agents for a robotic soccer team using Nao robots.

Also, congratulations to everyone who submitted. Just putting time aside to submit working agents at this busy time of year is an accomplishment. Good job.

The complete results are attached, and all code is up on Moodle for everyone who’s interested.

Regards

Robotics Interest Group
