[Stats2] (Workshop) Up-n-Running with Big Data

Hi.

The Up-n-Running with Big Data workshop will be run in MSL005, Mathematical Sciences Laboratories, Science Stadium, this Saturday.

>From Wikipedia - "Big data is a broad term for data sets so large or complex that traditional data processing applications are inadequate. Challenges include analysis, capture, data curation, search, sharing, storage, transfer, visualization, and information privacy."

Big Data is currently a hot topic in Business and in Science.

The workshop makes use of the R programming language, so if you’ve had some exposure to R before the workshop that will be an advantage. Watching a few YouTube tutorials on R or having attended the Up-n-Running with R workshop will be sufficient.
