Vacancy at WESSA Western Cape:  Project Manager and Environmental Trainer
3 year contract ending 31 December 2015

Key Performance Areas include:
Quality control and compliance throughout the project
Management of budget, allocation of financial resources and tracking of expenditure
All project reporting
Strategic development of partnerships
Coordination of delivery on the strategic direction of the project
Management of the training component of the project including accredited and non-accredited courses
Environmental training including accredited and non-accredited training
Seek and secure funded projects

Minimum qualification required for this position:
Honours/Master’s Degree in field related to WESSA core business i.e. Environmental Sciences or Project Management

Minimum experience required for this position:
2- 5 Years in project management

Behavioural skills required for this position:
High level of communication skills
High level of organisation in terms management of project components
A pleasant demeanour, pro-active and ability to work independently

Technical Skills Required:
High level of computer competence
Strong knowledge of conservation, environment, education and project management
Valid Driver’s licence

Other attributes that would be considered advantageous:
Strong commitment to promoting public participation in caring for the earth and to working in an NGO environment
Strong commitment to building the capacity of WESSA
A sense of humour
