Subject: New PulseNet WGS protocols

Dear all:

PulseNet USA has released several new WGS protocols. The original PNL32 protocol has been replaced by individual protocols for the different components of the WGS workflow. A procedure for the use of Illumina’s DNA Flex has also been released. We have received great feedback from the states on the use of the DNA Flex Library Prep kit.

Attached, please find all the protocols listed below. Feel free to share these with your network participants. In the near future, these protocols will be available on the PulseNet website. Let us know if you have questions about these protocols.

·        PNL33 - DNA Extraction and Quality

·        PNL34 – PN Nextera XT Library Prep

·        PNL35 – DNA Flex Library Prep

·        PNL38 -  WGS on MiSeq

Best,

Jeny
